Holiday Tree and Wreath Auction

Tree/Wreath Application

Tree and Wreath Tips

Dear St. Francis Community Organizations,

The past Holiday tree and wreath auctions have been a huge success thanks to the support we received from various organizations of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.  The trees from last year’s auction raised funds for the St. Francis St. Vincent de Paul Society.  Everyone enjoyed the fellowship and friendly competition as members from the different organizations came to view the trees and encourage the bidding.

This year’s Holiday Tree & Wreath Auction and Holiday Bazaar will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017.  We hope that your organization will again participate in the event by decorating and donating a tree and/or wreath.  As you know it is a fun team building activity which demonstrates each group’s creativity.

This year we are requesting that all trees & wreaths be ready by Friday, October 27, 2017.  Trees and wreaths can be delivered to the Parish Hall on Friday, October 27th between 5:30 and 8:30 PM.  Be sure to bring your tree/wreath application so that we know who or what organization donated the tree/wreath and the value of the tree/wreath.  They will be “silent auctioned” to the highest bidders on October 28th during the annual Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Holiday Bazaar.  Any trees remaining will be donated to local charities.

Attached you will find a document listing the specifications for the trees and/or wreath and some suggestions that will help you make your tree and/or wreath as memorable as the one from past auctions.  Also attached is an application for you to fill out and return.  Please return your application to Sara Hood or Theresa Sutton via email to by October 15, 2017.

Proceeds from this year’s auction will benefit the St. Francis St. Vincent de Paul Society.

We hope that you will consider participating in the 2017 Holiday Tree &Wreath Auction.  Designing and decorating a tree and/or wreath is a tremendous amount of fun and fellowship that precedes the beginning of preparations for Christmas.  We will identify each tree and/or wreath with a sign stating the designing organization and its theme.

Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your consideration.
